Palmarosa is well known for its rejuvenating properties which means it is often used in skin care for its effective anti-aging effects. Hydrating and stimulating, Palmarosa helps to balance the skin’s sebum as well as smoothing and toning the skin. It is also used to aid in clarity of mind and to balance the senses due to its uplifting nature.

The leaves of this bushy plant are used to prepare this essential oil, and it is has a persistent woody oriental fragrance, which has a hint of mint. It is well known for its purifying and calming properties making it useful in the treatment of problem skins. Patchoulli is also known for its calming effects on the mind and body although in aromatherapy Patchouli can either energise or relax depending on the individual receiving the treatment.
